The Moon was in Taurus when I first laid eyes on my husband. And there wasn't a doubt in my mind that he was "the one." Had I met him during another astrological phase, though, that might not have been the case. Why? Because Taurus Moon energies not only add spice to romance, but vibrate toward stability and long-term plans. The Moon's energy was so strong that day that it couldn't help but affect us, or the lasting relationship that was to follow.

Our first date came when the Moon was in Leo, and we couldn't have picked a better time. That's because the Leo Moon is a great time to start new relationships. It vibrates toward social interaction and the need to put your best foot forward. Best of all, though, it brings forth the urge to have fun. And we all know that a first date without fun seldom makes for a second!

We moved in together during a Cancer Moon (a time to set goals and tend to affairs of the home and hearth), and the proposal came when the Moon was in Libra (a time of romance, self-awareness, and balance). The Moon, however, was cycling through Virgo on our wedding day. And while many folks wouldn't see this as a good time to seal a relationship (though romantic, Virgo also brings lots of structure) such was not the case for us. Why? Because even though our lifestyle isn't what most people might consider traditional, we both thrive on structured, service-oriented, old-fashioned values, and that's exactly what Virgo brings to our marriage.
